It is quickly feeling like fall here in Portland. I usually get up early to have my cup of french press before everyone else wakes up. This morning the air was crisp & chilly and I quickly rummaged about for a cosy sweater & woolly socks. In honor of the changing season, here are some new zipper pouches in fabulous colors & prints.
I love lists and organizing. These zipper pouches are my favorite right now. They are roomy enough to fit all the essentials (cash, cards, keys, phone..lipstick), but small enough to throw into a larger bag or even your jacket pocket. Here are the latest in our shop, made out of amazing Japanese fabrics (compliments of my dear friend Alison). The colors and prints are so lovely and you better grab yours before they are all gone!
We had a great time participating in the Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Spring Sale this past weekend! Portland has so many amazing artists/designers/makers and we were excited to be included in such a talented group. We met lots of new people and got to hang with some of our dear friends, such as Erica from Thorn & Wynn, Amy from Forge + Fire, Alison from House of Moss and the lovely Holly from MarshMueller. Here's some pictures of our booth & products!
The 1st Anniversary of opening Frankie & Coco PDX is fast approaching! Sarah & I are so grateful for the amazing journey we have had thus far and excited for what the future will bring. Our Etsy shop is flourishing, celebrating 500 sales this month. We launched two shops with Shoppe by Scoutmob earlier this year. Frankie & Coco Kitchenette, which features our small batch artisan infused finishing salts and Frankie & Coco PDX, which highlights our beautiful, yet practical bags. In addition to planning our 1st Anniversary soirée & trunk show (more info soon), we are busy preparing for the Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Spring Sale. This is our first time participating in this event and we can't wait! If you live in or near Portland, mark your calendars and come see us!
Bringing the colors of Oregon into the studio. Cosmetic bags inspired by my recent trip to the beautiful coastal town of Oceanside.
Living in Oregon is truly a blessing. I love that the wild, windy coast and the lush, emerald mountains are a quick hour away! I recently spent a long weekend with my family in the hidden gem of Oceanside. We had lovely pockets of sunshine, quick bursts of stormy weather and found inspiration under every small rock.
Ethan & Coco walking the beach.
Aidan becoming one with the waves.
Frankie was enthralled by every small shell.
Our amazing crab feast. Delicious.
Portland was graced with snow this past weekend! Our kids were so happy to have a 4 day weekend and frolic outside. My older boys enjoyed sledding down the neighborhood hills on plywood (in lieu of real gear). The little girls were mystified by the garden blanketed in white. Sarah & I were working together on Friday and she ended up trapped here for a few days...impromptu work retreat! We used this opportunity to work on the new website (soon!), brainstorm some new products and watch the Olympics (of course). The new Slopestyle snowboarding event was awesome!
Today it was back to the status quo...school, work and rainy PDX. Here's some highlights from the weekend.
We have some really lovely new bags in the shop, perfect gifts for the impending holidays or just for yourself. They are 6" x 10" folded and 8" x 10" opened flat, large enough to carry all the essentials. All three have a heavy duty YKK antique brass closure and leather pull. Use coupon code NOV13CLUTCH for 15% off any clutch purse in our etsy shop until 11/30/13!
It's here! The PDX Etsy team has joined forces and our Christmas in July Sale is in full swing. Our team has 49 amazing sellers, so hurry up and get some amazing deals before it's all over. The sale is running from July 11-21, and many of the shops don't offer sale pricing or free shipping very often. Frankie & Coco PDX will be offering the sale through the last day in July. Use the coupon code PDXCIJ13 at checkout in each shop. For a full list of all the PDX Etsy team shops participating in the sale, go to fellow PDX designer, Holly Marsh Mueller's blog:
We are really excited to introduce our new infused finishing salts! There are four to choose from; White Truffle Oil & Herbs de Provence, Lemon, Thyme & Pepper, Sriracha, and Chili & Lime (with a serious kick!) We use a natural coarse sea salt base, blending all our salts with fresh and natural ingredients. All finishing salts are produced in small batches for greater consistency and increased flavor. These salts are perfect for backyard grilling, roasting veggies or rimming the glass of your perfect summer cocktail.
